Welding positioners are designed to position the part in the optimal weld position welding position. IRCO Offers a variety of models and styles to meet any positioning requirement. Welding poistioners can be sized to light light to heavy payloads, including: pipes, valves, rotors, turbine discs, military tanks, and railcars.
Tilt rotate positioners are the most common and widely used welding positioners used across many applications industry segments. Designed with two axes of movement—tilt and rotation, they allow the operator to easily position the weldment into the most optimal hand welding positions. Both manual and power elevating options are available for centerline adjustability. The simplicity of operation of the IRCO tilt rotate positioners deliver increased accessibility, improved welding quality, increased productivity and operator safety for payloads up to 200,000 lbs.
Manufactured exclusively by IRCO, the P3X is a unique 3 axes welding positioner with optional 4th axis. Designed to support heavier payloads at greater offsets than conventional positioners, the P3X L shaped beam design provides unsurpassed positioning accessibility. Fabricators of large equipment, use the IRCO P3X for heavy, complex weldments. And to be totally honest, because of the diverse range of projects P3X's are being used for in the field, this type of positioner is a favourite of many people on our IRCO team. The P3X is also used for heavy pipe spooling / pipe welding as it offers exceptional torque capacity and accessibility for set up.
Similar to the the 3-Axis Positioners explained about, the Low-Profile version is also manufactured exclusively by IRCO and is a unique positioner. The P3X low profile stance provides unsurpassed positioning accessibility for heavy and dense weldments—supporting heavy payloads at greater offsets than conventional weld positioners. The P3X low profile 0-90 deg. rotation allows safer loading of parts in the flat position. Fabricators of large equipment, use the P3X low profile for heavy, complex weldments. The P3X is also used for heavy pipe spooling /pipe welding as it offers exceptional torque capacity and accessibility for set up.
Unique to IRCO, the P2X gimbal positioner is designed with significantly more application functionality than traditional welding positioners. The P2X has an offset beam which allows greater accessibility—it delivers 360 deg. of tilt and 360 deg. of rotation, while traditional welding positioner deliver only 135 deg. of tilt and 360 deg. rotation. The increased accessibility offered by the P2X is widely used in pipe fabrication where increased accessibility, improved welding quality, enhanced productivity and operator safety are critical factors for payloads up to 4,000lbs.
