NEWS: Linear Robot for Beam Welding

Posted by Melissa Gomez on Jan 21, 2020 10:52:34 AM

IRCO Automation delivers a linear robot for box beam welding.

IRCO’s newly designed linear robot is optimized for pre-programmed multi-pass welding on multiple joints of the box beam. Without stopping, this system can weld each joint from one end of the work piece to the other, repeating its set sequence during the scheduled job until welding is complete. With numerous add-on features integrated into its design, this 3-axis linear robot has a 4th axis for supporting and rotating the workpiece.

What about Production Monitoring?

The most powerful feature on this machine is it's control system. The nerve center of this linear robot has the ability to capture and maintain all of the relevant data that can be used for true production monitoring. Wondering if something like this would work for your process?

A system like this is ideal for welding long joints requiring multiple masses (such as the box beam featured in the video) making it applicable and adaptable to multiple industries and manufacturing processes. The design of this system makes is a cost effective alternative to a traditional 6 or 7 axis rail-mounted robot.
